In this laboratory works with two main sources:
1) Wood natural resistance and its derivatives;
2) The application of synthetic and natural chemical products aim at the increase of wood useful life. To reach these objectives, laboratory and field studies are carried to evaluate the resistance to the main organisms who eat wood. These information can indicate a better use for wood and its derivatives, contributing for the increase of working life and with this, minimizing the impact on the natural resources.
